Visually, there have been a few subtle upgrades the 5-reel, 20-payline grid looks less like Book of Ra than the original, and IGT has swapped the columns of the background image for a traditional view of the Giza Pyramids. The further you progress into Cleopatra 2, the more changes are uncovered, though the overall vibe has remained relatively the same. It might have taken nearly a decade to cash in, but in 2021 the studio followed up with more Egyptian queen themed action courtesy of a sequel titled Cleopatra 2. One such was Cleopatra, a land-based classic for IGT that later made a successful online crossover in 2012, also becoming hugely popular.
Okay, a slight exaggeration, yet there are a lot, and in between the dozens that are released each year, one or two do something to make them stand out. If you add up each one floating off in the breeze, you'd come up with a figure pretty close to the number of Egyptian themed slots available on the market.
